Roers Volunteers In Fargo's Sandbagging Efforts

Roers companies recruited almost 30 volunteers Tuesday afternoon to sandbag central to do their part to contribute to the flood efforts.

Roers employees were picked up by the MAT bus at 3:45 sharp, but by 3:55 they were stranded on the side of the road along Main Avenue with a broken down bus. MAT bus quickly sent another bus to pick our crew up and we were up and running at Sandbag Central by 4:15, thank you MAT bus!

Sporting our signature red shirts and a slogan reading "Building success, one sandbag at a time," this enthusiastic crew consisted of Jim Roers himself as well as all four Roers companies: Development, Construction, Property Management and Real Estate. Friends and spouses of employees also stepped in to support Roers' efforts
and have some fun!

Tuesday's sandbag total reached 122,000 total! The goal is 1 million sandbags total, so Fargo is well on its way to being prepared should the sandbags be necessary. Roers was excited to contribute to this goal and do their part to help the community.

The evening was topped off with pizza from Happy Joe's, sore muscles and smiling faces.

Thank you to everyone who helped out!
