Roers, Lutheran Social Services Housing and a host of dignitaries celebrated the Grand Opening of Legacy Living – Jamestown, a senior-oriented facility, on October 8th, 2013. Facility tours showcased the broad range of services Roers offers, as well as the creativity and versatility of our design and construction teams. On the tour, guests enjoyed various stopping points featuring "before" photographs that could be contrasted with the in-person view of the transformed space.
The Legacy Living project reinforces Roers’ commitment to community through repurposing the historical facility and preserving the emotional connection for Jamestown area people. Roers’ partnership with Lutheran Social Services, an area non-profit, capitalizes on the impact of the renovation. The transformed facility houses a daycare, a wellness center, senior housing, a senior center, a senior transportation dispatch service, senior meal delivery, community meeting spaces, and a catering company. And there is space still available for lease.
The grand opening concluded with refreshments and remarks by dignitaries. The event was attended by Bob Sanderson and Jessica Thomasson of Lutheran Social Services, Roers Construction and Development teams, Jamestown Mayor Katie Anderson, Governor Jack Dalrymple, and First Lady Betsy Dalrymple. The project is a great example of Building success for Roers and LSS.
