A graduate of Minnesota State College – Crookston, MN and North Dakota State University with an agriculture degree, Jim Roers formed Roers Construction in 1976 with a small trailer and a passion for construction. Jim has dedicated the last 45 plus years to building success in a business that encompasses development, construction, and property management. He recognized when Roers needed to grow and took risks by creating additional divisions. Along the way, Jim took pride in mentoring employees and empowering them to develop their skills and grow with Roers.
Building a successful business like Roers, allows Jim the opportunity to give back to the community in which he lives, as well as those in which Roers has completed projects. He prides himself on sharing his talents with organizations to achieve their goals. He has served on boards and committees for NDSU, the state of North Dakota, NDSCS, College of Saint Benedict, The Chamber, Jeremiah Program, Churches United for the Homeless, Valley Prosperity Partnership, and Dakota Medical Foundation. Jim became a pilot in 1989 and spends his spare time flying between Fargo, the Roers West office in Dickinson, and Stanton, ND where he is finally able to utilize his agriculture degree on his ranch named LC Ranch.
