TOP 5: Updates from Q3
1. a new building for north fargo
In August, Roers employees in Fargo gathered to hear multiple updates including updates for The Metropolitan, the future of West 45th Business Center, and the announcement for a new apartment building in north Fargo. The apartments will be located off of 12th Avenue in N Fargo, conveniently adjacent to the NDSU campus. This will be an excellent location for students, professors and professionals in that area. Amenities are being finalized but likely will include those listed below.
Currently, there is a vote being held to decide the name of the new building.
The Skyline vs Sideline Apartments.
Stay tuned for the official name!
2. RCC: Fargo fire station #5 addition
Roers was recently awarded a new project in Fargo – Fire Station #5. As the city grows rapidly, so does the need for more efficient facilities for our first responders.
Roers is demoing part of the existing fire station (everything besides the garage area). Then we will be building a new precast addition tied into the Garage.
The building is scheduled to be completed August 2025.
Take a look at the renderings for this project and keep read more info HERE.
3. RW: Century view apartments
A long time project in the Bismarck area finally came to completion in quarter 3! Century View Apartments consisted of four separate buildings – two 16-unit buildings, an 8-unit building, and a community center. The project started in the fall of 2023 and thankfully for the relationships and promptness of our subcontractors, we were able to get concrete poured prior to the cold coming last year. Our team and all subcontractors involved pushed to get things done, and we successfully were able to complete the project 30-days early. Great job RW team!

4. rpmr: turnover 2024 recap
Quarter 3 always holds one of the busiest times for our property management team. The summer is time for major turnover for our northside properties. This year, the RPM team implemented a new turnover process to try to streamline everything for residents, employees and vendors alike. They also navigated this new process in the midst of Metropolitan ammenities slowly opening. Congrats to our team on a successful Turnover 2024!
Check out our TURNOVER BLOG to read about it!
5. field crew appreciation lunch
As part of our quarterly recognition, our field crew was recognized and nominated as the quarter 2 winner for all of their hard work in the field this year. In July, Fargo, Dickinson and Bismarck all hosted a field crew lunch to thank them for their time and dedication to building success in each of their communities!

Employee interview
Riley Utke
Project Manager
roers construction
get to know him:
1. Introduce yourself (Name, Title, and Length of Time with Roers):
- Riley Utke, Project Manager and I’ve been with Roers about 2 1/2 years.
2. What does a day in your role entail?
- (1) Driving project schedule (2) Communicating with Superintendents and Subcontractor (3) Managing project budget (4) Communicating with architect and owner on current and future segments of the project.
3. What is your favorite core value and why?
- Respect/Partnership – These two work together on a daily basis in the construction field. You will walk onto a jobsite and see many different walks of life. Respecting one another helps build those partnerships to work fluidly to reach a common end goal of providing a product to the owner they are happy with.
4. What is a fun fact about you outside of work?
- I enjoy golfing and fishing during the summer and hunting in the fall.
5. Last but not least, what is your favorite part of your position or working for Roers?
- One of my favorite things about being a Project Manager is being a part of the entire construction process. You get to see a project start from an empty lot and a vision to a finished building. You get to know the owners, what they like, what they do and provide for the community and ultimately watch their vision turn into a reality as they open their doors.

Alec has really shown that he is a valuable member of the safety committee. He puts the conversation at the meeting into practice in the field. Alec fills out multiple near misses every month and is on top of all his training as soon as they are assigned. He has shown that not only does he have RCC's well-being in mind, but all of Roers' enterprises. He has the guts to come forward and have the hard conversations when something isn't right.
