TOP 5: Updates from Q4
1. All Company Meeting & Holiday Party
December is always a busy time for Roers. We went into the home stretch of 2024 with our annual All Company Meeting and Roers Holiday Party. Our ACM is a great opportunity for employees from all over the state to get together and hear updates and upcoming items for Roers. This year we hosted a speaker who talked about the importance of communication styles between the generations in the workforce. It required our employees to think about how they can communicate best with their coworkers and asked us to explore the strengths within the different dynamics in each generation.
We ended the evening with our Roers Holiday Luau where we had hawaiian themed food, drinks and games, as well as travel themed prizes! It was a great day full of fun and networking within the company!
2. RCC: Lashkowitz Takes Off!
The Lashkowitz Riverfront Project, located on the Red River near Fargo’s downtown district, kicked off construction in July of 2024. We began excavation of the new building footprint only to find a substantial amount of unsuitable material and contaminated soils. The excavation, removal, and disposal of these materials was a long grueling process. New regulations required us to dispose of the material at pre-approved sites or designated landfill locations. With that behind us, we were able to erect 95% of the precast for the main level. We plan to have any remaining backfill and precast completed shortly after the new year, with expectations of prefabricated walls being erected late January / early February. Working straight through the winter months, Roers will utilize our own carpentry/framing crews to help erect the 4 stories of prefabricated wall panels and engineered trusses which sit on top of the main level of precast. With limited space onsite, communication and coordination will be crucial for deliveries and maintaining project schedule. Working as effectively and efficiently as possible, we plan to complete this project in Early 2026, which will provide more affordable housing for the downtown Fargo area.

Between Q3 and Q4, all amenity spaces were also opened! The Metropolitan has so many new and exciting features, units and amenities. Check out the property HERE!
