Touchmark at Harwood Groves

The project is the remodeling and refurbishment of an existing, occupied retirement community. The majority of this work will be approximately 46,000 SF of interior common space refurbishment. There will be varying levels of remodeling in the areas ranging from lighting and finishes to complete area rebuilding down to structure. Exterior work will be limited to main entry vestibule rebuilding and roof repair. This project will include the coordination of hardware replacement, lighting upgrades throughout the entire community, fire sprinkler replacement and HVAC changes. The project will incorporate a high level of finishes and amenities, will be performed in an occupied community and must be carefully coordinated to insure efficient scheduling while minimizing impacts to residents.

 

JA Hughes Elementary School

JA Hughes Elementary in Red Lakes Falls, MN is undergoing an addition and renovation project. Roers is working at the General Contractor on the 20,473 project which includes an addition of a gym and classroom to the existing school. The project includes the following work scope of earthwork, utilities, concrete, masonry, general contraction, roofing, aluminum entrances and windows, flooring, fire protection, mechanical and electrical work.

As the General Contractor, Roers will be responsible for the steel erection, steel stud framing, roof blocking/carpentry work, casework, sealants, doors/frames, gypsum broad assemblies, ACT, paint, accessories/specialties, lockers and the gym equipment. Roers will work diligently to complete the project in time with the schools deadlines for completion.

Pulver Hall

Dickinson State University’s Pulver Hall has served as an office building for the state and county for the past 30 years. Originally built in 1967, the building was a men’s dorm for many years. The current renovation will turn the building into the Theodore Roosevelt digital libraries and dormitories.

The preliminary plan is to use the first two floors for the digital library. The third floor will be classrooms and offices. The fifth and sixth floors will be used for housing for approximately 66 students.

Nome Schoolhouse

The Nome Schoolhouse underwent a major renovation to keep as much of the historic building for the current businesses of the owners. The entrepreneurs purchased the building to bring their business dream alive but also have a place for community members to socialize and hold retreats. They hired the Roers team to help bring their dream to life. Plans for the renovation included a retail store, classrooms, fiber animals on site, Bed & Breakfast rooms, as well as an in house chef and Event Center. This is a beautiful setting for retreats, weddings, graduations, reunions and a relaxing place to get away.

Bremer Bank

The Bremer Bank located on the highly visible 45th Street in Fargo underwent a major remodel. Both first and second floors of the building were included.

The second floor was completely gutted and new walls were framed. First floor will have major demolition take place as well. The new remodel includes three openings cut in the 2nd floor with a glass railing and a new self-supporting steel staircase that will really modernize the look of Bremer Bank. The lobby is an open concept to better serve their customers. Offices, a breakroom, training rooms and more were included in the remodel.

The View on University Apartments

Roers is excited to be constructing new apartments in Fargo! The View Apartments on University are currently under construction with the goal to open Summer 2021. The View is located at 1113 University Drive in Fargo. The proximity alone is enough for someone to want to live there! The apartments will be across the street from the North Dakota State University campus, next to St Paul Newman Church and within walking distance to restaurants and other businesses. Now for the amenities – all utilities included, fitness room, study rooms, multiple lounges including a spacious rooftop outdoor patio, underground parking and a pet spa (pets are allowed of course). There are five floors at this property with multiple floor plans including efficiency to three bedroom options.

St Johns Academy

St. Johns Academy is a new addition to their current facility adding 28,000 SQ FT of new construction and a remodel of 5,000 SQ FT to turn into the new administration offices with a secure entrance. This is a CMU/structural steel building. The exterior is a combination of brick and EFIS. The new addition will add a chapel, new kitchen, 11 new classrooms, commons room/lunch room and a daycare.

CI Sport

CI Sport is transforming the former Gander Mountain building in South Fargo into their location. Roers is working on a full remodel of the interior of the building. The construction is set to be completed in early 2020.

Sheyenne Senior Housing

The  Sheyenne Senior Housing in West Fargo will include two new 4-story Senior Housing Buildings called “The Monterey” and “Brighton Place” along with Housing Authority of Cass County offices totaling 136,000 SF.  The Monterey Apartments will consist of 40 one-bedroom and three two-bedroom units as well as the Housing Authority of Cass County offices. The Brighton Place will house 45 one-bedroom and three two-bedroom units. The ground level will be parking with three levels of apartments and offices above. The apartment buildings will feature many amenities, such as tuck under parking with wide spaces for vehicles needing to accommodate wheelchairs, a community room, community entertainment rooms, a beauty salon, elevators, secure entrances, and a skywalk between the buildings. Individual apartments will have many of the appliances that other units have, such as stove and refrigerator, microwave, garbage disposal, dishwasher, and air conditioning units. They will also have washer and dryer units. Between the two buildings, there will be nine handicapped accessible units – six one-bedroom and three two-bedroom. The new housing units will replace the original units built in 1966.

A ground breaking/demolish ceremony was held in November 2019. The completion date is set for the summer of 2021.

Missouri Slope Project – Phase I

Roers West and Roers Development will be working collaboratively with Pope Architects on the Missouri Slope Lutheran Care Center located in Bismarck.  Roers was selected to construct the $47 Million, 207,000 SF building which consists of Skilled Nursing.  Phase I features a 4-story building with 184 units featuring 192 beds, a chapel, beauty salon, nurses stations, kitchens on each floor and much more.  Phase 1 is scheduled to be completed in 2021.
