Roers Employee Recognition Program is designed to help us recognize the contributions of the wonderfully talented individuals working to help us build success and who truly live our core values. Our employees help define success. Each year we are honored to recognize a few outstanding employees for their hard work whether it is in the field, office or within the community.

The employee recognition committee is made up of employees with representation from various departments and locations. The committee reviews the nominations, then after much consideration, selects the Annual Award recipients based on the criteria defined for each award.

Rookie

of the year
award

Awarded to an employee in their first two years with Roers for an outstanding effort to learn their job, provide premier serve to customers and team members, and exemplify excellence in their daily performance, all while incorporating the core values in their everyday work. This individual has grown to understand and live our mission, “through concept and completion, Roers is building success and stronger communities.”

Field

Building Success in the Field

Awarded to an employee or a team who work(s) in the field for Roers, through attitude, attendance, and work effort this individual or team exemplifies our mission “through concept and completion, Roers is building success and stronger communities.”

 

This individual or team provides quality of work, professional courtesy, premier service, “can-do” attitude, responsiveness, respect, develops and maintains partnerships, creates opportunities for the organization, is a team player and actively demonstrates our core values daily.

Office

Building Success in the Office

Awarded to an employee or a team who work(s) in one of the Roers offices, through attitude, attendance, and work effort this individual or team exemplifies our mission “through concept and completion, Roers is building success and stronger communities.”

 

This individual or team provides quality of work, professional courtesy, premier service, “can-do” attitude, responsiveness, respect, develops and maintains partnerships, creates opportunities for the organization, is a team player and actively demonstrates our core values daily.

Community

Service
award

Awarded to a Roers employee who freely gives of him/herself with he/she time and/or talent to benefit the community in which they live. This employee truly lives out the core value of Community: Give Back and Give Often.  He/she takes the time and effort to give back on his/her own time and is making an impact through his/her efforts all while supporting and representing Roers mission of “building success and stronger communities.”

Safety

Champion
award

Awarded to a Roers employee who exemplifies safety day in and day out. This employee goes above and beyond to work safely, following safety rules and regulations. By being a “safety champion” they help report near misses, attend trainings, and help advocate with peers the importance of safety.

Rookie

of the year award

Tyler Miller

This hard-working individual who hits the ground running, Tyler Miller  Rookie of the Year, started when COVID-19 came into place. Immediately after being hired he dove right into training and was assigned projects right away. Miller has an outstanding attention to detail and is personally driven to see his projects become successful. He exemplifies excellence in all his projects, all while incorporating the core values in his everyday work.

Building Success in the Field

Devin Odenbach

The Building Success in the Field, Devin Odenbach has been working with Roers through attitude, attendance, and work effort. Odenbach started as a laborer with Roers and has risen through the ranks as Superintendent. He has shown knowledge by being invested in his projects and takes personal pride in his work. Let alone, Odenbach is willing to put in the extra effort to ensure his projects are running smoothly.

Building Success in the Field

Dustin Fisher

Dustin Fischer – Building Success in the Field recipient is known as having a “can-do” attitude. Fischer is always on the move and never questions himself for helping others in the field. He started with Roers back in 2018 in the Bismarck area. Fischer has had the opportunity to transition into Assistant Superintendent on a handful of projects with a positive attitude every time. Fischer shows core value wherever he is and that is what makes us proud to have him on the team!

Building Success in the Office

DeEtte Goerger

“Dee is always there to help pick up the pieces and remind you of important deadlines,” is a common comment heard about this Building Success in the Office recipient. Dee shows patience by helping others out and answering questions without a complaintShe is always on top of it and is willing to reach out to others to find a solution. Dee is also known for having an answer to your question. 

Community

Service award

Scott Wirth

The Community Service recipient, Scott Wirth, not only uses his skills in the office but also takes them outside. Scott has served with many committees such as Train ND Workforce, Fargo Public Schools CTE construction, NDSCS Building Construction Technology, etc. He also oversees the United Way Employee Campaign by leading the committee to come up with ways to raise funds. Scott takes the time and effort to give back on his own time and is making an impact through his own efforts all while representing Roers. 

Safety Champion

Aaron Baldwin

The Safety Champion, Aaron Baldwin, has been working with Roers for almost 25 years. During those years he has learned to master many types of equipment and takes on a lot of responsibility when working with equipment that can be very harmful on the field. He cares a lot about his team members and is always checking to make sure they are performing tasks in a safe manner.
