The Sheyenne Senior Housing in West Fargo includes two new 4-story Senior Housing Buildings called “The Monterey” and “Brighton Place” along with Housing Authority of Cass County offices totaling 136,000 SF. The Monterey Apartments consists of 40 one-bedroom and 3 two-bedroom units as well as the Housing Authority of Cass County offices. The Brighton Place has the capability to house 45 one-bedroom and 3 two-bedroom units. The ground level includes parking with three levels of apartments and offices above. The apartment buildings feature many amenities, such as tuck under parking with wide spaces for vehicles needing to accommodate wheelchairs, a community room, community entertainment rooms, a beauty salon, elevators, secure entrances, and a skywalk between the buildings. Individual apartments have many of the appliances that other units have, such as stove and refrigerator, microwave, garbage disposal, dishwasher, and air conditioning units. They also have washer and dryer units. Between the two buildings, there are nine handicapped accessible units – 6 one-bedroom and 3 two-bedroom. The new housing units have replaced the original units built in 1966.
A ground breaking/demolish ceremony was held in November 2019. The completion of this project was in the summer of 2021.
